Poland signs contract for production of 48 Patriot launchers

On Monday, August 12, Poland signed a contract for the production of 48 M903 launchers, which are part of the Patriot air defense systems, worth USD 1.23 billion.

This was reported by Vice Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of Poland Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Reuters reports.

"These launchers... will be produced in Poland," Kosiniak-Kamysz said during a visit to Sochaczew in central Poland.

Poland is said to have signed a contract with Raytheon Polska and PGZ Huta Stalowa Wola. The MIM-104 Patriot is produced by the American defense contractor Raytheon Technologies.
