On August 11, a total of 124 combat engagements took place at the front, the enemy attacked most on the Pokrovske (41 engagements) and Lyman (21) Axes.
This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) posted on its Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Yesterday, the enemy launched five missile strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using 18 missiles, 65 airstrikes (in particular, 107 anti-aircraft missiles were used), and carried out 4,673 attacks, 129 of them from rocket salvo systems.
On August 11, 124 combat clashes with the russian invaders were recorded at the front.
On the Kharkiv Axis, the enemy continued its assault.
Five combat clashes took place here in the area of Vovchansk.
On the Kupiyansk Axis, the invaders attacked ten times.
The defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Pishchane, Berestove, and Hlushkivka.
On the Lyman Axis, Ukrainian troops repelled 21 assaults by the occupiers in the areas of Makiyivka, Nevske, and Novosadove settlements and in Serebrianske Forestry.
On the Siversk Axis, the Defense Forces repulsed eight attacks near Ivano-Dariyivka, Spirne, Verkhniokamiyanske, and Vyimka.
On the Kramatorsk Axis, Ukrainian soldiers stopped 11 attempts by the enemy to break through Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, and Ivankivske.
On the Toretsk Axis, the enemy, supported by aviation, launched eight attacks. He concentrated his efforts in the areas of Zalizne, Druzhba and Niu York settlements.
Ukrainian defenders repelled 41 attacks at Pokrovske Axis.
The main efforts of the enemy were concentrated in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Zhelanne, Orlivka, and Mykolayivka.
On the Kurakhove Axis, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders in the Kostyantynivka area.
In total, the enemy tried to break through the defense of the Ukrainian troops on this Axis six times.
On the Vremivka Axis, the occupiers carried out two attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Vodiane and Rivnopole Axis.
The enemy had no success.
On the Orikhiv Axis, there were four unsuccessful engagements for the enemy near Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka.
Losses of positions and territories were not allowed on the Dnipro Axis.
Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled eight attacks by russian invaders.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces have carried out nine strikes on areas where the enemy's personnel and military equipment are concentrated, hit two control points, three artillery systems, an ammunition depot and three other important objects of the russian invaders.
On August 11, the losses of the russian invaders amounted to 1,080 people.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 9, a total of 90 combat clashes took place at the front, the enemy attacking the Pokrovske Axis the most.
