The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus told the temporary Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine Olha Tymush that the country may raise the issue of the expediency of the further presence of the diplomatic mission of Ukraine in Minsk.
The state agency Belta reported this with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
After the statements of the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, about Ukrainian drones allegedly recorded in Belarus, the country's Foreign Ministry summoned Olha Tymush, Ukraine's temporary Chargé d'Affaires in Belarus.
It is noted that a strong protest was expressed to the Ukrainian diplomat and a corresponding note was handed over in connection with the violation of the border of the Republic of Belarus by a group of unmanned aerial vehicles launched from the territory of Ukraine.
"It was especially pointed out that, if the diplomatic mission of Ukraine in Belarus is unable to influence the prevention of such provocations, the Belarusian side will raise the question of the feasibility of its further presence in Minsk," the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus stated.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the morning of Saturday, August 10, the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, announced that "several targets" that flew from Ukraine had been shot down over the country. According to him, there is a suspicion that these are attack drones.
