In the first seven months of 2024, steel production increased by 33.6%, or by 1,153,000 tons, year over year to 4,583,000 tons.
This is stated in the information published on the website of the Ukrmetalurgprom association, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In the first seven months of 2024, the production of pig iron increased by 21.2%, or by 715,000 tons, year over year to 4,089 thousand tons, the production of rolled products - by 28.4%, or by 825,000 tons, up to 3,728,000 tons.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2023, steel production decreased by 0.6% year over year to 6,228,000 tons.
At the same time, the production of pig iron decreased by 6.1% to 6,003,000 tons, and the production of rolled products increased by 0.4% to 5,372,000 tons.
In 2022, steel production decreased by 3.4 times year over year to 6,263,000 tons.
