In July 2024, consumer prices did not change.
This is stated in the report of the State Statistics Service, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In particular, in July, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages decreased by 0.6%, for clothing and footwear - decreased by 3.7%, for housing and communal services - increased by 0.1%, for services related to health care - increased by 0.9%, for education - increased by 0.1%.
Compared to July 2023, consumer prices rose by 5.4% in July 2024.
In January-July 2024, inflation made 4.3%.
In July 2024, the core consumer price index increased by 0.7%.
In January-July 2024, the core consumer price index increased by 4.1%.
Core inflation is a sub-index of the consumer price index.
The core CPI (core inflation) is a part of inflation that shows the dynamics of free prices without taking into account items whose prices are affected by administrative and seasonal factors.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, in June 2024, consumer prices rose by 2.2%, and the core consumer price index increased by 0.5%.
In 2023, inflation was recorded at 5.1%; in 2022 at 26.6%; in 2021 at 10.0%; in 2020 at 5.0%; in 2019 at 4.1%.
In 2023, core inflation was 4.9%.
The state budget for 2024 provides for an increase in consumer prices (December over December) - 9.7%.
