In the three incomplete days since the beginning of the military operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south of the Kursk Oblast, the authorities of the aggressor country of the russian federation have announced the "victories" of their army in the region at least seven times.
The russian online publication Agentstvo drew attention to this.
According to journalists, the acting governor of the Kursk Oblast Aleksey Smirnov was the first to announce the "victory" over the AFU.
On the morning of last Tuesday, August 6, when the Armed Forces of Ukraine began an offensive in the Kursk Oblast, Smirnov said that "fighters of the Border Service of the FSB of Russia and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation did not allow a border breakthrough."
Already a few hours after this statement, russian propagandists and military bloggers began to massively report on the deterioration of the situation in the Kursk Oblast border areas for the russian army.
In addition to Smirnov, the FSB of russia and the ministry of defense of the russian federation also announced the "victory" over the Armed Forces on August 6.
The next day, August 7, the Chief of the General Staff of the russian armed forces, General Valery Gerasimov, announced at a meeting with dictator vladimir putin that "the enemy's advance has been stopped."
A few hours later, the ministry of defense of the russian federation also published a message about "preventing the advance of the enemy deep into the territory of the Russian Federation."
And finally, today, August 8, the ministry of defense of the russian federation reported again that "the advance of the enemy is not allowed."
The Agentstvo publication noted that after each "victorious" statement of the russian authorities, the situation for the russian army in the Kursk Oblast only worsened.
As the Ukrainian News agency reported, earlier today, on August 8, russian propagandists and military bloggers stated that the Defense Forces of Ukraine allegedly occupied the town of Sudzha in the south of the Kursk Oblast.
Recall that before this, the russians announced that the Ukrainian military had allegedly seized the Sudzha gas measuring station. It is located near the city of the same name, through which gas is transited from the russian federation to the European Union.
