On August 7, 96 combat clashes took place at the front, the enemy attacked the most on the Pokrovsk axis, where 28 combat clashes were recorded.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its operational update on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Yesterday, the enemy launched three missile strikes against the positions of Ukrainian units and population centers using five missiles, as well as 69 airstrikes, dropping 110 guided air bombs.
Also, the enemy launched more than 5,200 shelling attacks, 114 of them from multiple launch rocket systems.
On August 7, a total of 96 combat clashes with the russian occupiers were recorded.
Thus, three combat clashes took place on the Kharkiv axis.
Defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Vovchansk and Tykhe.
On the Kupiansk axis, there were five attempts by the russians to advance near Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka and towards Novoosynove.
On the Lyman axis, the enemy attacked 12 times near Novoserhiivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Torske and in the Serebrianskyi Forest.
On the Siversk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled six assaults by russian invaders near Spirne, Verkhniokamianske and Pereizne.
On the Kramatorsk axis, the occupiers attacked seven times - all their efforts were concentrated near Chasiv Yar.
On the Toretsk axis, the enemy carried out 11 attacks in the areas of Pivnichne, Niu York, Zalizne and Toretsk.
The russian aggressor carried out 19 airstrikes on Toretsk and its adjacent territories, dropping more than three dozen guided bombs.
On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled 28 assaults in the areas of ten different settlements.
Vozdvyzhenka, Zhelanne, Karlivka and Hrodivka were the main areas where the occupiers concentrated their efforts.
With the support of aviation, the russians tried to push Ukrainian units out of their positions.
On the Kurakhove axis, the Defense Forces repelled five enemy attacks near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, and Paraskoviivka.
On the Vremivka axis, russian troops made two attempts to advance from Volodymyrivka.
On the Orikhiv axis, one combat clash took place in the area of Robotyne.
On the Dnieper axis, all four attacks of the invaders were unsuccessful.
Yesterday, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces carried out 11 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the enemy, and also hit two air defense means, seven vehicles of missile forces and artillery, and two warehouses with ammunition of the occupiers.
In total, the russian invaders lost 1,140 people last day.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 6, 136 combat clashes took place at the front, most of them on the Pokrovsk and Siversk axes.
