US election. Harris receives USD 36 million in donations the day after her running mate announced

US presidential candidate Kamala Harris' campaign raised USD 36 million in 24 hours after announcing that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz would be her running mate.

The Hill writes about it.

Campaign officials called the day one of the best fundraising days of the cycle and a reflection of the enthusiasm among Democrats for Walz's VP nomination.

Harris and Walz kicked off the campaign Tuesday in Philadelphia and will also travel to Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada and Arizona this week.

Walz was born in Nebraska, served in the army and worked as a high school teacher before serving in Congress.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in July, the campaign of Vice President and US presidential candidate Kamala Harris collected USD 310 million. The amount of money raised by the Harris campaign is more than double the USD 137 million raised by the Trump campaign.

The poll shows Harris ahead of Trump in four key states, but her lead is slim.

Trump said that it will be easier to defeat Kamala Harris in the November election than Joe Biden.
