The court allowed the Ukrnaftoburinnia private joint-stock company to resume production at the Sakhalinske Field (Kharkiv Region).
This follows from a statement by the press service of the company, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal satisfied the application of Ukrnaftoburinnia to review, based on the newly discovered circumstances, the resolution that previously canceled the company's special permit for the industrial development of hydrocarbons. In particular, the court overturned the decisions of the courts of the first instance and appellate instance, which related to the consideration of the application of the State Geological Survey to reverse the execution of the court's decision in this case and left the application of the State Geological Survey without consideration in connection with a significant delay in the application deadline," the message reads.
It is noted that after the execution of the court's decision by the State Geological Survey, Ukrnaftoburinnia is ready to immediately resume production at the Sakhalinske Field.
"We are talking about natural gas, a resource that is extremely necessary for the next heating season. Therefore, the company's team welcomes the court's decision and is ready to technologically do everything necessary to quickly restore production - this is a matter of Ukraine's energy independence," said the chairman of the board of Ukrnaftoburinnia Oleh Malchyk.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, during the six-month shutdown of Ukrnaftoburinnia, the state did not receive 285 million cubic meters of gas.
On December 1, 2023, Ukrnaftoburinnia stopped the production of natural gas and gas condensate at the Sakhalinske oil and gas condensate field due to the annulment of the special permit for the use of subsoil by the court.
At the same time, the production of the Ukrnaftoburinnia company amounted to 1.4 million cubic meters. m of gas per day until the forced stoppage of work on December 1, 2023, by a court decision.
In May 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers transferred the corporate rights of Ukrnaftoburinnia to the management of the largest oil production company, Ukrnafta.
In April, the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv transferred the corporate rights of Ukrnaftoburinnia, which were seized as part of criminal proceedings, to the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA).
Ukrnaftoburinnia conducts industrial development of the Sakhalinske gas field and gas condensate.
In 2022, the company's gas production amounted to 415 million cubic meters (2.2% of total gas production in Ukraine).
Previously, Ukrnaftoburinnia was affiliated with businessmen Vitalii Khomutynnik and Ihor Kolomoiskyi.
