The russian Ministry of Defense has announced the deployment of its reserves to the russian-Ukrainian border in the Kursk Region after local authorities reported "breakthrough attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine" in the area in the morning.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation.
Thus, the russian ministry claims that on the morning of August 6, allegedly 300 Ukrainian soldiers from the 22nd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, supported by 11 tanks and more than 20 armored fighting vehicles, attacked the positions of the russian federation in the areas of the settlements of Nikolaevo-Dar'ino and Oleshnya, Kursk Region, directly adjacent to the russian-Ukrainian border.
According to the statement of the russian federation, russian troops are attacking the Ukrainian side in the area of the state border, as well as reserves in the territory of the Sumy Region.
"Reserves of the Russian group of troops on the Kursk axis advanced to the area of the combat clash," the russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
We will remind, on the morning of August 6, the authorities of the Kursk Region claimed that "saboteurs" tried to break through the russian border at night, but they were allegedly repulsed.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council, said that the russian occupation forces do not control the border in the Kursk Region. The information from russian military correspondents does not correspond to reality.
