The State Audit Service declares that in January - June, according to the results of the inspections, UAH 2.3 billion was returned to the budget.
This is stated in the message of the State Audit Service, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to the head of the State Audit Service, Alla Basalaieva, this amount is 2.3 times higher than last year's corresponding indicator, which amounted to UAH 1 billion.
"For comparison: the government allocated a similar amount in the summer of this year for the restoration of roads for defense and humanitarian purposes in the frontline regions," Basalaieva emphasized.
She added that the main tasks for the State Audit Service remain the inspection of local budgets: how social facilities and citizens' homes mutilated by the occupier are rebuilt, systematic control over the inevitability of the responsibility of violators, and improvement of state auditors' work tools to combat financial abuse, fraud, and corruption.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the State Audit Service declares that the state-owned enterprise Ukrspyrt has multimillion-dollar overdue debt and is on the verge of bankruptcy.
