In July, the export of farm produce increased by 1.5% month over month to 5.4 million tons.
This follows from a statement by the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club association, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In July, the export of grain crops decreased by 5% month over month to 3.7 million tons (corn - 42%, wheat - 42%, barley - 16%); the export of oil crops increased 2.4 times to 514,000 tons (rapeseed – 54%, soy – 44% and sunflower seeds – 1%); the export of oils increased by 0.5% to 479,500 tons (sunflower oil - 92%, soybean oil - 6%, rapeseed oil - 2%); the export of cake after the removal of oils decreased by 20% to 372,600 tons (sunflower - 83%, soybean - 17%); the export of other types of farm produce increased by 28% to 358,700 tons.
"For the second month in a row, the rather low indicator is related to the small volume of products intended for export. The harvest has only just begun and this time only barley and rapeseed have been almost completely harvested," the report says.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in June, the export of farm produce decreased by 27.9% month over month to 5.3 million tons.
In 2023, Ukrainian farmers exported products worth almost USD 22 billion.
