Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris will interview six potential vice presidential candidates this weekend.
The AR agency writes about this with reference to sources.
According to journalists, the list of applicants includes the Governors of Kentucky Andy Beshear, Illinois J.B. Pritzker, Pennsylvania Josh Shapiro and Minnesota Tim Walz, as well as Senator Mark Kelly from Arizona and US Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.
Initially, this list consisted of 10 names. However, some candidates have publicly withdrawn from consideration of their candidacy, including North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper.
It's worth noting that the deadline to choose a potential contender for the future vice presidential position effectively ends on August 6, when Harris begins a tour of seven key states.
