In the first half of the year, the export of food products from Ukraine amounted to USD 12.4 billion.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this at a government meeting, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Key in terms of logistics is the work of the Ukrainian maritime corridor. During the 11 months of its operation, cargo turnover in the ports of Great Odesa amounted to 60 million tons. Almost 41 million tons are exported food. This became possible thanks to the success of our Defense Forces in the Black Sea, thanks to the export support programs, thanks to war risk insurance," he said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2023 Ukrainian farmers exported products worth almost USD 22 billion.
