Minister of Health Viktor Liashko is asking the law enforcement officers to check the tender for the repair of the building of the National Children's Specialized Hospital (NCSH) Okhmatdyt.
He announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Based on the data of open sources and the analysis of the documents provided by the participants of the competition, the working group of NCSH Okhmatdyt was recommended to choose Bud-Technology LLC as the winner of the competition. This was publicly reported by the head of the hospital. Currently, the contract has not been signed, as the company's ability to perform all the necessary tasks was studied. I see that this choice caused a stir, that is why we turned to the law enforcement authorities today to conduct additional checks. For my part, I want to emphasize once again that I personally and my team are doing everything to make the process completely transparent," he wrote.
According to Liashko, from the moment when the contract is signed with the contractor company, a public report will be published every day to inform people what the money collected by their efforts is spent on.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Okhmatdyt - Healthy Childhood charitable foundation announced the winner of the tender for the reconstruction of the hospital.
It became Bud-Technology LLC, a little-known company with inflated prices.
It was the third most expensive offer from construction companies with an offer amounting to UAH 307 million.
In July, the Charitable Foundation Okhmatdyt - Healthy Childhood announced a tender for the current (urgent) repair of the facade and internal equipment of the Okhmatdyt building, which was damaged on July 8 as a result of a russian missile attack.
