In January-June 2024, the Ukrtelecom telecommunications company reduced its income by 8% to UAH 2.3 billion compared to the same period last year.
The Ukrtelecom has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Also, in the first half of the year, the company reduced its EBITDA (Earnings before Taxes, Interest, and Depreciation) by 11.4% to UAH 620 million.
Capital investments during this period amounted to over UAH 585 million.
During the first half of 2024, revenues from commercial real estate leases freed up due to network modernization increased by 39% compared to the previous year and amounted to over UAH 210 million.
Also, in January-June, about 4,000 kilometers of fiber-optic lines were built, and in general, the optical network of Ukrtelecom has more than 84,000 kilometers.
"Connections are increasing, correspondingly, the total income from the provision of optical Internet services is increasing. In the first half of this year, compared to last year, 16% more new subscribers of the mass segment, small and medium-sized enterprises were connected to the high-speed optical Internet. As a result, the income from the provision of optical Internet services for the specified category of users increased by 15.5% year over year. Among large enterprises, the connection of new optical subscribers in the first half of the year increased by 37.5%, and the corresponding income - by 34%," the report said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2023, compared to 2022, Ukrtelecom reduced revenues by 10% to UAH 5 billion and EBITDA by 16% to UAH 1 billion.
