The russian occupiers are spreading information about the alleged entry of their unit into the territory of Toretsk, Donetsk Region. This information is not true.
Vasyl Chynchyk, the head of the Toretsk City Military Administration, said this on the air of the telethon, his words are quoted by RBC-Ukraine.
According to Chynchyk, the city is under the full control of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and the recent statements of the occupiers are misinformation.
"Unfortunately, the enemy is also waging information wars, and I confirm that the city of Toretsk remains a free Ukrainian city," said the head of the Toretsk City Military Administration.
He noted that the enemy's statements are aimed at destabilizing the situation in the information space and aim to influence Ukrainians.
Chynchyk emphasized that the Ukrainian military managed to stop active hostilities on the part of the occupiers.
At the same time, the enemy continues to carry out regular shelling of the city and nearby territories.
According to the data of analysts of the Ukrainian OSINT project DeepState, the approximate front line in the Toretsk area looks like this.
