Air Defense downs Kh-59/Kh-69 missile and 9 Shaheds overnight

Overnight into July 29, the russian army of occupation attacked Ukraine with a Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air missile from the airspace of the occupied Donetsk Region and 10 Shahed-type attack UAVs from Cape Chauda - Crimea.

This was announced by the commander of the Air Force/Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.

According to Oleshchuk, anti-aircraft missile units and EW of the Air Force, mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the air attack.

As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, a Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air missile and nine Shahed-131/136 unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down.

Air targets were destroyed in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Kirovohrad Regions.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to the Financial Times newspaper, the military-industrial complex of the aggressor state russia relies on 70-90% of Western-made components despite the sanctions.

It was previously reported that numerous sanctions do not prevent the aggressor country of the russian federation from importing several thousand components for its combat aircraft.
