Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi might come to Kyiv in August, which will be his first visit since the beginning of the russian-Ukrainian war in 2022, the Indian TV channel, Wion, reported.
According to the report, citing diplomatic sources in Delhi, the visit, which is still under preparation, will take place in the third week of August, most likely on August 23.
The TV channel also reports that earlier this month, there were exchanges of views at a "high level between the two parties," in particular, there were telephone conversations between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, as well as talks between the head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Andrii Yermak and by the Minister of National Security of India, Ajit Doval.
In June, Prime Minister Modi met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Italy on the sidelines of the G7 summit, during which the two sides discussed the situation in Ukraine. The Indian prime minister emphasized the importance of "dialogue and diplomacy."
