If elected president of the United States, Donald Trump, will try to reduce military aid to Ukraine and incline it to peace with the russian federation on russian terms. He may also be disappointed by Putin.
This is what Time analysts think.
According to them, Kyiv is worried about the possible election of Donald Trump in the U.S. elections. The former U.S. president tends to respect the authoritarian russian leader, and this could be a "disaster" for Ukraine.
However, some sources among Ukrainian politicians do not give such "terrible" forecasts. One of the Ukrainian officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the publication that if Trump wins, "the whole year of 2025 will be very difficult."
"Trump will most likely cut aid to Ukraine and push Zelenskyy to adopt a peace agreement that will be heavily skewed in favor of russia. Like previous U.S. presidents, at the beginning of his term, Trump may also seek to reset relations with Vladimir Putin. However, over time, he will see that Putin cannot be trusted," the government official suggested.
But in the end, Trump will be disappointed in Putin and realize that the head of the Kremlin "doesn't care about him and his agenda."
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, after announcing his withdrawal from the presidential race, Joe Biden approved the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris for the position of presidential candidate from the Democratic Party.
Afterward, Trump said he thinks Vice President Kamala Harris will be easier to beat in the November election than Democratic incumbent Joe Biden.
He also said that Vice President Kamala Harris is "evil and stupid."
