President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has suggested that the Verkhovna Rada extend martial law and mobilization from August 12 for 90 days, i.e., until November 10.
This is stated in bills 11433 and 11434 dated July 23, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In particular, the bills propose to approve the presidential decrees of July 23 on the extension of martial law in Ukraine and the period of general mobilization from August 12, 2024, for 90 days.
According to Verkhovna Rada member Yaroslav Zhelezniak (the Holos faction), the profile committee and the Council will approve them at a meeting today.
This will be the 12th parliamentary vote on these issues.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 8, the Rada extended mobilization and martial law until August 11.
On February 24, 2022, the Council approved the introduction of martial law by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in connection with the start of the war by Russia and the announcement and conduct of general mobilization.
