The leader of Svoboda Oleh Tiahnybok has announced that his political force is ready to pay a monetary reward of USD 10,000 for information that will help find the killer of linguist Iryna Farion. Tiahnybok also emphasized that the amount of the reward can be increased, the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Tiahnybok said that the corresponding initiative was taken by the Svoboda branch in the United States, which offered the specified USD 10,000, however, according to the head of the party, he had already been approached by other people, including entrepreneurs, who are ready to join and increase the proposed amount.
“We understand that the time for the investigation is lost every hour, for an effective solution to this issue, but perhaps that situation [the presence of a monetary reward – Ed.] will help to find not only the perpetrator, but also the mastermind of this crime," Oleh Tiahnybok noted.
As previously reported, the police published a guide to the possible killer of Farion and showed his photo. The police called on citizens to call 0684409164, 0933450461 or hotline 102 if they have information that could help identify the person and establish the whereabouts of the wanted person.
