Johnson declares that he believes in Trump and announces peace plan for Ukraine

Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has created a version of the peace plan for Ukraine, which provides for the exit to the borders of February 24, 2022 and ending the war on favorable terms for Kyiv. Donald Trump should play a key role in the plan.

Johnson published his column in the Daily Mail.

"I believe that Trump can end it — on the right terms for Ukraine and the West. I stress that I cannot be sure exactly what he would do, if elected. But this is what he could do,” Johnson said.

According to Johnson, Trump could stop the bureaucratic dither and delay and give the Ukrainians the necessary permits to use weapons, and when the russian troops are pushed back, offer peace agreements. However, we are not talking about the restoration of the borders of 1991, but only the retreat of the russians to the demarcation line of 2022. The rest of Ukraine must be recognized as a free country capable of choosing its own destiny in the EU and NATO.

Boris Johnson believes that the large and already trained Ukrainian army, which knows how to work with NATO equipment, can be made the most effective anti-russian force that could replace the U.S. military in Europe.

According to Johnson, this would allow Trump to save money, bring American troops home and force Europeans to do more for their own defense, which is one of his key goals.

The British politician believes that if some protection for the russian language appears in Ukraine, then the dictator vladimir putin will be able to declare that the goals of the so-called "special military operation" - that is, the invasion of Ukraine - were successful and he "denazified" Ukraine.

He believes that russia has a chance to once again become a "respected partner of the G8 and even of NATO", but only if the West demonstrates its strength and forces it to show that the international community must be respected and that "the Soviet empire cannot be rebuilt by force".

"Never forget that it was Trump, not Obama or Biden, who gave the Ukrainians the Javelin anti-tank weapons that were so crucial in the Battle for Kyiv in 2022. Trump already has a record of making decisive military intervention on behalf of Ukrainian democracy,” Johnson said.

He is convinced that the victory of Ukraine can pave the way for "new and far better relationship with Russia. That would be a big win, for America and for the whole world."

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the former Prime Minister of the UK Boris Johnson is sure that Donald Trump, if elected as the new President of the United States, will be decisive in supporting Ukraine.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he is not afraid of the possible presidency of Donald Trump in the U.S.
