Ukraine provides 1,000 tons of wheat flour to Palestine

Ukraine has provided Palestine with 1,000 tons of wheat flour as part of the GrainFromUA initiative. This was the first of three batches that Ukraine plans to provide in the near future, said Andrii Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

It is noted that a ship with 1,000 tons of wheat flour for Palestine arrived from Turkiye to Jordan and has already been delivered to the Gaza Strip. In general, within the framework of the initiative, Ukraine plans to deliver more than 7,000 tons of wheat flour to Gaza with the support of donors, including Norway, Austria, Estonia, France and Iceland.

"Ukraine has always been and will continue to be a donor of food security for the whole world. During the existence of the program, Ukraine supplied essential foodstuffs to many countries, in particular to Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya and Yemen," Andrii Yermak noted.

As previously reported, the UN Secretary General tried to justify Hamas attacks with years of "suffocating occupation". The statement said Guterres condemned the "heinous and unprecedented terrorist acts by Hamas" in Israel on October 7, but added that they "did not happen in a vacuum."
