In Ukraine, at least 6 million men are subject to fines for not having time to update their data.
This was told to the Ukrainian News Agency by the first deputy of the parliamentary committee on law enforcement, Member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Holos faction, Andrii Osadchuk.
"I haven't seen the final figure, but we are talking about the fact that somewhere around 4,200,000 have been updated. I heard such numbers somewhere as of yesterday or the day before yesterday. With the fact that there are about 11,100,000 men who are subject to updating. Accordingly, simple arithmetic indicates that we have at least 6 million people subject to automatic administrative liability," he said.
In his opinion, the corresponding indicator of "violators" is proof that the process of updating the data of the register of those liable for military service was done "incompetently".
"If as a result you have 6 million violators, then you must have done something wrong. And "wrong" is something you did late and hastily," Osadchuk convinced.
According to him, the register of those liable for military service is a huge problem that has not been dealt with for decades, including the entire period of the russian federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Osadchuk believes that it was necessary to put things in order with the register of those liable for military service from the beginning of the full-scale war.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, July 16 was the last day when men could update their data in the required time. Violation of military registration rules by conscripts, those liable for military service, and reservists in a special period (in particular during martial law) is proposed to be punished with a fine in the amount from 1,000 to 1,500 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (from UAH 17,000 to UAH 25,500).
