On July 17, 118 combat clashes took place at the front, the largest (24 each) on the Pokrovske and Kurakhove Axes.
This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) posted on its Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
During the day, the enemy carried out 43 airstrikes (using 58 air defense systems) and 605 kamikaze drone strikes and carried out 3,230 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops.
From the beginning of the day at 10 p.m., 118 combat clashes were recorded.
Thus, 16 enemy attacks were repulsed on the Kharkiv Axis, 11 of them - near Hlyboke, the rest - in the area of Vovchansk.
On the Kupiyansk Axis, the Defense Forces repelled ten attacks by the occupiers in the areas of Pishchane, Berestove, Andriyivka, and Synkivka.
On the Lyman Axis, six unsuccessful attempts of the enemy to advance to the Hrekivka, Makiyivka, Terny, and Torske Axes were recorded.
On the Siversk Axis, the occupiers suffered losses in seven attempts to storm AFU positions near Verkhniokamiyanske, Rozdolivka, and Vyimka.
On the Kramatorsk Axis, the total number of enemy attempts to improve the tactical position has increased to four; the battle near Andriyivka continues, and the rest of the attacks have been repulsed.
Twenty-three attacks by russian terrorists have already been stopped on the Toretsk Axis; one battle is still ongoing, and the enemy has directed all its efforts to the Pivnichne and Niu York areas.
As in the previous day, the enemy concentrated significant efforts on the Pokrovske Axis, carried out 24 attacks, and concentrated efforts near Novooleksandrivka and Novoselivka Persha.
On the Kurakhove Axis, 12 enemy attacks took place near Heorhiyivka, Paraskoviyivka, and Krasnohorivka.
There were three skirmishes in the area of Kostiantynivka and Novodarivka on the Vremivka Axis.
On the Orikhiv Axis, AFU units repelled seven enemy attacks on the Verbove - Mala Tokmachka and Nesterianka – Novoandriyivka Axes.
On the Dnipro Axis, units of our troops repelled three enemy attacks on the left bank of the Dnieper River.
The situation on the rest of the axes is unchanged.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 16, a total of 86 combat clashes took place at the front, the largest number being on the Pokrovske (19) and Kurakhove (17) Axes.
