The new president of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, wrote a "Message to the New World" in which he declared his desire for peace for "the people of Russia and Ukraine" and support for initiatives to achieve this goal.
In the message, Pezeshkian outlined his future policy and attitude towards the countries of the world. The president of Iran called the aggressor state russia "a valued strategic ally and neighbor to Iran." According to him, the Iranian president's administration will remain committed to expanding and strengthening cooperation with the russian federation.
" We strive for peace for the people of Russia and Ukraine, and my government will stand prepared to actively support initiatives aimed at achieving this objective. I will continue to prioritize bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Russia, particularly within frameworks such as BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Eurasia Economic Union," Pezeshkian stressed.
In addition, the Iranian president thanked China for its support and friendship.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Masoud Pezeshkian won the second round of the presidential election in Iran.
