Rada exempts import of goods for production and repair of mechanized demining machines from VAT and customs duties

The Verkhovna Rada has exempted from VAT taxation and customs payments the operations of importing goods for the production and repair of mechanized demining machines into the territory of Ukraine.

Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of the Rada from the Holos faction, announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

A total of 305 parliamentarians voted for the adoption of the corresponding bill, No. 11258, with the minimum required 226.

The Parliament supported the bill on amendments to the Tax Code regarding the exemption from VAT and customs payments transactions involving the import of goods for the needs of production and/or repair of mechanized demining machines.

In addition, the parliament adopted in total bill No. 11259 on amendments to the Customs Code regarding exemption from import duty taxation of goods for the production and/or repair of mechanized demining machines.

313 parliamentarians voted for it.

The bills temporarily, for the period of martial law in Ukraine, exempt from customs duty and VAT the operations of importation into the customs territory of Ukraine under the customs regime of the import of components (materials, assemblies, aggregates, equipment and component products, including machine sets), which are imported by business entities for use in their own production activities for the production and/or repair of mechanized demining machines.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the State Agrarian Register has launched a tool for farmers to apply for participation in the compensation program for agricultural land demining.
