The next day, the police arrested one of the attackers, who turned out to be a 15-year-old resident of Kraków, who had previously broken the law. On July 12, law enforcement officers detained other attackers: two boys aged 16 and 17. The oldest of them was wanted, because he ran away from the Youth Educational Center in Gorlice. All three were suspected of participating in the beating with the use of a dangerous object.
The oldest attacker was charged with causing bodily harm. It was in his apartment during the search that the object with which, most likely, the victim was hit was discovered and seized. The court, at the request of the prosecutor's office, imposed a preventive measure on him in the form of temporary detention for a period of three months.
