Zelenskyy comments on Budanov's words about offensive from north

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the recent statement of the head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov about a possible offensive from the north was misinterpreted.

Zelenskyy made a corresponding statement during today's press conference, his words are quoted by RBC-Ukraine.

Journalists asked the President to comment on Budanov's words about preparations by the aggressor country russia for an offensive from the north.

"After this statement, I called General Budanov, and he said that he was a little misunderstood. We understand that offensives can happen... they just can happen," Zelenskyy said.

He emphasized that the east remains the most difficult part of the front.

And in the Kharkiv Region, the Defense Forces of Ukraine did a great job to prevent a powerful russian offensive from the north.

According to Zelenskyy, the russian offensive in the north of the Kharkiv Region forced the occupiers to withdraw the troops that were previously stationed along the border to this section of the front.

The President noted that this made it impossible for a powerful group of russians to gather in other parts of the border.
