Negative balance of foreign trade in goods worsens by USD 1,833.8 million to USD 10,715.8 million in 4M

In January-May 2024, the imports of goods exceeded exports by USD 10,715.8 million.

The State Statistics Service has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

In January-May 2024, the negative balance of trade in goods worsened by USD 1,833.8 million year over year (negative balance in January-May 2023 was USD 8,882.0 million).

In January-May 2024, Ukraine exported goods for USD 16,832.0 million, up 1.7% year over year.

In January-May 2024, Ukraine imported goods for USD 27,547.8 million, up 8.3% year over year.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January-April 2024, the imports of goods exceeded exports by USD 8,477.1 million.

In 2023, the imports of goods exceeded exports by USD 27,376.2 million.

In 2023, the negative balance of trade in goods worsened by USD 16,216.1 million year over year (negative balance in 2022 was USD 11,160.1 million).
