The Cabinet of Ministers increased the authorized capital of 5 central heating power plants of the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company by UAH 4.923 billion.
This follows from a statement by the Cabinet of Ministers' representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, posted on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Naftogaz of Ukraine is instructed to acquire ordinary registered shares of joint-stock companies Dnipro CHPP, Kryvyi Rih CHPP, Kherson CHPP, Odesa CHPP, and private joint-stock company, Mykolayiv CHPP, which will be placed additionally, for a total amount of UAH 4.923 billion, in order to increase the authorized capital of CHPPs, which will contribute to the stabilization of their financial and economic activity, improvement of the state of payments for natural gas, renewal of production capacities and technical base," the message says.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in June 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers excluded five CHPPs from the list of privatization objects.
