President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wished US presidential candidate Donald Trump a speedy recovery after he was injured at a campaign rally.
The leaders of Ukraine and the USA wrote about this on the social network X.
"I am appalled to learn about the shooting of former U.S. President Donald Trump at his rally in Pennsylvania. Such violence has no justification and no place anywhere in the world. Never should violence prevail. I am relieved to learn that Donald Trump is now safe and wish him a speedy recovery. My condolences go out to the close ones of this attack’s victim, a rally attendee. I extend my wishes for strength to everyone who is horrified by this event. I wish America emerges stronger from this," Zelenskyy wrote.
Joe Biden condemned the shooting at the rally and added that "there’s no place for this kind of violence in America."
"I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information. Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it," Biden wrote.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, during a rally in Pennsylvania, a man shot several times at Donald Trump, who was speaking on stage. One of the bullets hit the presidential candidate's earlobe. Trump was quickly evacuated from the stage.
Later, the mass media reported that the shooter had been eliminated - he was shooting from the roof of the building opposite the scene.
