Regional power distribution companies will apply three rounds of power outages on Saturday, July 13, from 2:00 p.m. until the end of the day, NEC Ukrenergo reported.
According to the company's message on Facebook, until 2:00 p.m. restrictions on the volume of two queues at the same time are applied.
"The reason for tightening the restrictions is abnormal heat and a higher than forecast level of consumption," the message says.
As the NEC explained in its social networks, consumers of each region, which do not belong to the list of critical infrastructure objects, are divided into six queues or groups. Applying restrictions to three queues means that approximately half of consumers will be without light at the same time. Four queues - simultaneous restriction of up to 70% of consumers in each region during a certain period. Information about outage schedules in each region should be viewed on regional power distribution companies’ websites or on their social media pages.
For his part, YASNO director general Serhii Kovalenko explained: "When the NEC gives restrictions on one or two queues, the light in the light-gray zones ("possible shutdown") will be, if the limit is three queues, then the lights in one of the queues with light-gray zones may not be for one or two hours. There will be no power outages in the light-gray slots in another queue. When the limit is four queues, there will be no light during the entire light-gray zone," he wrote on Facebook.
