Recently, the number of attempts and the activity of russian sabotage and intelligence groups to enter the territory of the Sumy Region has decreased.
Andrii Demchenko, the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service, announced this on the air of the telethon.
"If we talk about the Sumy Region, the situation can be characterized as daily shelling, which russia does not stop carrying out on the territory of Ukraine within the limits of this region. Of course, there are shelling in both Pivnichne and the Kharkiv Region," the border guard said.
Demchenko added that the activity of russian sabotage and intelligence groups in this region is currently being decreased. In addition, many settlements of the region are located directly on the border line, and the presence of Ukrainian forces there is complicated by the actions of the enemy.
"But all attempts, even in such conditions, attempts by enemy sabotage groups, are, of course, under the full control of Ukrainian defenders, who immediately knock the enemy out of our territory, preventing them from gaining a foothold there," the State Border Guard Service spokesman assured.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the NSDC, said that the plans of the russian occupiers for the north of Ukraine have collapsed. Permission from Western partners to strike on the territory of the russian federation played a decisive role in changing the situation. In particular, the enemy's attempts to create the illusion of capturing Ryzhivka in the Sumy Region completely failed.
Earlier, the State Border Guard Service said that the Sumy Region was "the most popular" for russian sabotage groups. Russian saboteurs do not stop trying to break through the border there.
