For the last day, russian propaganda has been spreading a new story — that the military, who will return from the front, "are guaranteed to have a conflict with civilians and will receive accusations of defeat."
Ihor Lapin, who served as a company commander in the 24th separate assault battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and whose words are quoted by kremlin media, adds that in Ukraine "the military is being discredited." And the propaganda makes a conclusion - "a massacre awaits the military in the rear," Lenta UA reports.

This occurs against the background of other critical statements regarding the course of hostilities and reports of critical situations in individual units. However, while others point to specific problems and directions and offer solutions, here, generalizing, the focus shifts to the fact that criticism, which may indeed be fair in individual cases, looks like an internal confrontation between the military and the rear. And, in fact, this is the use and strengthening of the negative background and demoralization of the front and civilians.
According to research by the InfoLight.UA Research and Analytical Group, Ihor Lapin is one of the most quoted Ukrainian figures in the russian propaganda media. Propaganda skillfully manipulates Lapin's words, presenting them in a favorable light. For example, his criticism of the Ukrainian military strategy can be presented as a confirmation of the weakness and confusion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Such manipulations are aimed at creating a negative image of the Ukrainian military leadership and intensifying internal conflicts in Ukraine.
