On Friday, July 5, the import of a record amount of electricity - 35,851 MWh is planned during the day.
This follows from a statement by the press service of the Ukrenergo national energy company, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In particular, electricity imports from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Moldova totaling 35,851 MWh, with a maximum capacity of 1,683 MW, are planned during the day.
At the same time, the export of electricity does not take place and is not expected.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 4, during the day, it was planned to import electricity with a total volume of 35,212 MWh, which is 1,000 MWh more than what was imported on July 3.
In June, Ukraine increased electricity imports by 91% year over year to 858,300 MWh.
At the same time, the peak of supplies was on June 15 – 35,600 MWh.
