Ukrainian agricultural producers have started harvesting. Harvesting is already underway in the Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson Regions.
Agricultural producers in six regions of Ukraine have started harvesting early grain and leguminous crops.
It was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
In total, 48,300 tons of grain of the new crop were threshed:
- wheat – 1,100 tons with a yield of 22.0 centners per hectare;
- barley – 39,900 tons with a yield of 29.8 centners per hectare;
- peas – 7,300 tons with a yield of 22.0 centners per hectare.
"The agrarians of the Vinnytsia Region are the leaders among the regions in terms of productivity. They harvest 30.5 centners per hectare. At the same time, the agricultural producers of the Odesa Region are the leaders in terms of the largest threshing of crop areas – 11,800 hectares," the report says.
