Naftogaz reports a profit of UAH 23.1 billion for 2023

The Naftogaz group earned a net profit of UAH 23.1 billion in 2023. In contrast, in 2022, the company incurred a loss of UAH 79.1 billion.

This follows from a statement by the company, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that the significantly improved financial results of the group's enterprises were the basis for profitability by business segments.

Currently, the financial statements are being submitted for consideration and approval by the Cabinet of Ministers.

It is planned that the vast majority of Naftogaz's net consolidated profit, belonging to the company's shareholders, will be directed towards dividend payments to the state.

"In 2023, the group achieved significant profitability all despite the fact that in 2023, we continued to fulfill all obligations imposed on us by the state and supplied gas at a socially favorable price to residential consumers, heat and electricity producers, religious, and budgetary organizations," said Naftogaz's head Oleksii Chernyshov.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the first nine months of 2023, Naftogaz earned a net profit of UAH 15.29 billion, while in the same period of the previous year, the company incurred a loss of UAH 69.361 billion.
