AFU repel 31 attacks on Avdiyivka Axis and 17 on Bakhmut Axis – General Staff

On May 6, a total of 97 combat clashes took place at the front; most of the enemy attacks were repelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Avdiyivka (31) and Bakhmut (17) Axes.

This was reported by the General Staff of the AFU posted on its Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched two missile- and 83 airstrikes and fired 101 rockets at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas using MLRSes.

As a result of russian terrorist attacks, there are wounded among the civilian population.

During the day, 97 combat clashes took place at the front.

On the Kupiyansk Axis, the defenders of Ukraine repelled 14 attacks in the areas of Synkivka, Pishchane, and Berestove in the Kharkiv Region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk Region.

On the Lyman Axis, the Defense Forces stood in the way of seven enemy attacks in the areas of Nevske and the Serebrianske Forestry in the Luhansk Region and Terny and Yampolivka in the Donetsk Region.

On the Bakhmut Axis, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 17 enemy attacks near the settlements of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk Region, Verkhniokamiyanske, Vyimka, Rozdolivka, Novyi, Klishchiyivka, and Andriyivka in the Donetsk Region.

On the Avdiyivka Axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled 31 assaults by the occupiers in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Novopokrovske, Sokil, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka, Netailove, and Nevelske settlements in the Donetsk Region.

On the Novopavlivsk Axis, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviyivka, Kostiantynivka, Vodiane, and Urozhaine settlements in the Donetsk Region, where the russians tried 15 times to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops.

On the Orikhiv Axis, the enemy attacked the AFU positions six times in the area of Staromayorske in the Donetsk Region and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia Region.

On the Kherson Axis, the enemy does not give up its intention to knock out the Ukrainian units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper River.

Over the past day, the occupiers have carried out three unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops here.

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 11 areas of concentration of enemy personnel.

Units of the missile forces hit two artillery units of the russians.

Air defense forces of Ukraine destroyed 1 Kh-59 guided air missile.
