The russian occupiers have equipped launch sites for their kamikaze UAVs right next to the sixth reactor of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

This follows from a statement by Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Active action units of the Defense Intelligence of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine obtained evidence of the use of kamikaze drones by the occupiers over the nuclear reactors of the Zaporizhzhia NPP captured by russia.

The video from the enemy FPV drone, obtained with the help of radio electronic intelligence, contains the marking UT4D.TT, indicating the delivery of the drone to the occupation forces by the ministry of defense of the russian federation.

The flight path of the russian kamikaze drone runs over the Zaporizhzhia NPP power units in the direction of the Ukrainian-controlled communities of Nikopol and Marhanets, which are under constant enemy attacks.

The representative of the Defense Intelligence of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, Andrii Cherniak, noted that the russians use the territory of the Zaporizhzhia NPP to launch drones, taking advantage of the fact that the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine cannot return fire in a 1.5-kilometer zone around the station.

The occupiers have equipped launch pads for their UAVs right next to the sixth reactor of the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

In addition, from the summer of 2023, the russians began to use the territory of the captured nuclear power plant for the training of FPV-drone pilots - this is done by the so-called Archangel school, which is financed by the main directorate of the general staff of the armed forces of the russian federation.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the shelling of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP, which took place for the first time since 2022 in April 2024, brought the risk of a nuclear disaster very close, said the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi.
