Vladislava Molchanova

Vladyslava Borisovna Molchanova is a Ukrainian entrepreneur and philanthropist, co-founder of Stolitsa Group and the Vladyslava Molchanova Charitable Foundation.

Biography

Born into a family of scientists, a native of Kyiv, she graduated from Kyiv School No. 185. A graduate of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in Biophysics, she has been interested in architecture and urban planning since her student years.

Business Interests

She began her career in business by opening a small café in Akademgorodok. She launched her first projects in the construction sector in partnership with the “KLO” gas station chain.

Later, in partnership with Kyiv businessman Volodymyr Kosterin, a joint construction company was established. In 2003, Stolitsa Group was founded, which today is one of the largest and most reputable construction companies in the Ukrainian capital.

In 2009, Volodymyr Kosterin sold his stake in Stolitsa Group to the Lithuanian business group BT Invest.

Vlada Molchanova’s new partner was Lithuanian businessman Raimondas Tumenas, a former shareholder of the juice producer “Sandora,” which he sold to the international company PepsiCo in 2007.

Vladyslava Molchanova’s business interests are centered on the investment projects of Stolitsa Group, one of the leading developers in Ukraine’s modern real estate market.

Over 22 years of operation in Ukraine, the company has established itself as a reliable developer and partner, having implemented numerous large-scale projects. To date, more than 140 buildings have been commissioned and over 1,500,000 m² of residential space has been constructed.

Stolitsa Group also became the first Ukrainian company to receive the Century International Quality ERA international award in the field of development—a recognition of high quality standards and innovative approaches to construction.

Stolitsa Group has been a member of the European Business Association since 2014.

The holding company has implemented a number of projects well-known to Kyiv residents (the “Vidpochynok,” “Lipinka,” “Kvartet,” "Varshavsky Microdistrict," "Seven," "Galaktika," and "Hoffman Haus"), as well as the Retroville shopping and entertainment center in Kyiv, with a total area of 120,000 m².

Stolitsa Group holds a leading position among operators in Ukraine’s modern residential real estate market.

Also, in April 2021, Vladyslava Molchanova personally signed a major social memorandum between Stolitsa Group and the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) regarding the resolution of a social issue involving the completion and transfer of apartments to investors of the bankrupt Arkada Bank (residential complexes "Evrika," "Patriotika," and "Patriotika on the Lakes"). The value of this Memorandum lies in the fact that it provides a way out of a major social crisis without the use of state funds. The Memorandum is currently being actively implemented, despite obstacles arising from the full-scale invasion.

Community Activities

Vladyslava Molchanova is actively involved in public life.

Together with her family, she founded the Vladyslava Molchanova Charitable Foundation, which serves as a key instrument for implementing civic and charitable projects.

With the start of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war on February 24, 2022, Vladyslava Molchanova and her family remained in Kyiv and helped provide food to territorial defense centers, actively assisting volunteer organizations in supplying Kyiv residents with food, clothing, and essential goods. She also used all available resources to help build defensive and anti-tank structures to defend the capital.

The Vladyslava Molchanova Foundation provides logistical support—including transportation, unmanned combat vehicles, and the construction of fortifications—to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and other law enforcement agencies defending the Ukrainian state against Russian aggression.

Vladyslava Molchanova is a long-time supporter of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (formerly the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate). She has received church awards, notably for her assistance in the restoration of St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Cathedral.

Vlada Molchanova built a church of the OCU in her father’s hometown in the Khmelnytskyi region. She is currently building a church in honor of Saints Boris and Gleb, as well as a Sunday school of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in the Vinogradar neighborhood of Kyiv.

Another priority for Vladyslava Molchanova is supporting the development of Ukrainian science. With her funding, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine received valuable equipment that enables unique research in the fields of physics and microelectronics. She regularly supports scientific events and exchange programs involving Ukrainian researchers. She is also the founder of youth science grants to support Ukrainian science.

In addition, Vlada Molchanova founded the non-governmental organization “Center for the Protection of Kyiv Residents.” Before the war, the NGO “Center for the Protection of Kyiv Residents” provided free legal assistance to Kyiv residents and organized computer literacy courses.

Today, Vladyslava Molchanova sees one of her key tasks as providing comprehensive support to the Ukrainian military to achieve victory. And after victory—participating in projects to rebuild the country’s housing stock and infrastructure. She is also currently implementing a project for the post-war rehabilitation of war veterans.

Vladyslava Molchanova has six children—three sons and three daughters. Her older children were educated in Ukraine and abroad but continue their professional careers in Ukraine. Her father is Boris Romanyuk, a professor and physicist-mathematician. Her mother is Lilia Romanyuk, a design engineer.
