General Staff confirms strikes on Novorossiysk oil terminal and Be-12 aircraft in Crimea
On the night of April 6, the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted a series of successful operations aimed at reducing the aggressor's military-economic potential. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
One of the key targets of the strike was the oil-tanking infrastructure of the Sheskharis terminal in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation. Hits and a large-scale fire were recorded on the territory of the strategic facility, and experts are currently clarifying the extent of the damage.
In addition to strikes on the enemy's energy logistics, Ukrainian units successfully operated against military targets in the occupied Crimea. In particular, the hit of a Be-12 anti-submarine amphibian aircraft near the village of Kacha was confirmed. The extent of damage to the aircraft is currently being determined, but the fact of the hit itself indicates another gap in the protection system of Crimean airfields.
The military command emphasized that such measures are part of a systemic strategy to weaken russia's offensive capabilities. The defense forces plan to continue to methodically destroy the combat potential of the occupiers, attacking important logistical and military hubs both in the occupied territories and deep inside the russian federation.
Recall that on the night of April 4, drones attacked the russian city of Tolyatti, Samara Oblast, russia; according to public sources, two chemical plants were hit and fires broke out.
Also, the Defense Forces of Ukraine on the night of April 5 struck the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery in the city of Kstovo (Nizhny Novgorod Oblast). As a result, a large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise.
