The invaders have banned military freight traffic on a section of the E58 highway that runs through the occupied territories of the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson Regions due to attacks by Ukrainian drones.

Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces (USF), reported this on Tuesday, June 9.

According to him, the commander of the "East" military group of the aggressor country russia ordered a ban on military cargo traffic along the so-called "land corridor" to occupied Crimea starting June 7. This refers to the Mariupol-Berdiansk-Melitopol-Simferopol section.

The Unmanned Systems Forces commander noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have recently intensified strikes against the occupiers’ transport on the aforementioned road. In recent weeks, dozens of videos have been posted online showing trucks, fuel tankers, and other occupiers’ equipment being destroyed.

"As a result, according to official data, freight traffic on the aforementioned route has decreased by 71% over the past 14 days and is now completely banned by the Russian command," wrote "Madyar."

Total traffic on the "land corridor" amounts to 11,000 vehicles per day, including 3,800 freight vehicles per day. As of early June, it stood at 6,500 vehicles per day (1,100 freight vehicles). Thus, the drop in freight traffic along the occupiers’ vital logistics artery amounted to 71%.

"The collapse of traffic is not a blockade. But the current restrictions on the first land corridor, as a lifeline for the occupying forces, are significant and effective. And there is more to come," added the Unmanned Systems Forces commander.

As the Ukrainian News agency previously reported, earlier today, June 9, the occupiers again announced restrictions on traffic across the Chonhar Bridge, located in the occupied part of the Kherson Region. It was attacked by drones overnight.

As a reminder, in late May, a number of analysts and pro-russian media outlets claimed that the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ campaign to destroy russian logistics in the occupied territories threatens the supply lines of two russian army formations.
