In Ukraine, there are about two million people who evade mobilization, and about 290,000 soldiers who are Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL). This was reported by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, The Independent writes.

Fedorov noted that in Ukraine, 2 million are currently wanted for evading mobilization. According to him, since 2022, the prosecutor's office in Ukraine has opened about 290,000 cases against soldiers for AWOL.

"On the front line, soldiers known to The Independent in intelligence units say that they are exhausted, but also understand that they are too "useful" to be rotated," the material says.

Despite this, the ratio of losses of Ukrainian soldiers and russian occupiers is estimated at at least 1:8, Fedorov emphasized.
