NABU and SAPO come with searches to former head of State Border Guard Service Serhii Deineka - media

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, together with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, is conducting searches at the home of the former head of the State Border Guard Service, Serhii Deineka.

It was reported by Ukrainian Pravda, citing its sources in law enforcement agencies.

According to the sources, the investigative actions are part of a criminal proceeding on obtaining undue advantage. The case, according to preliminary data, is related to the smuggling of tobacco products.

On January 4, Serhii Deineka was appointed as an advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Before that, he was dismissed from the post of the head of the State Border Guard Service.
