Putin once again stated that Kupyansk is under control of russian army
Russian dictator vladimir putin once again stated that the army of the aggressor country, the russian federation, allegedly controls Kupyansk in the Kharkiv Region. He said this during the so-called "direct line", his words are quoted by TASS.
"As you know, the city of Kupyansk came under our control several weeks ago. Our troops control the city there," the dictator said.
Putin also commented on the video that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recorded on December 12 at the entrance to Kupyansk during a visit to units of the Ukrainian army.
"Well, why stand on the threshold? Come into the house," putin said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the day before, a video was published online with russian military personnel, who are allegedly in the southern part of Kupyansk. Later it turned out that the video was recorded in the occupied settlement of Tavilzhanka, which is located 20 kilometers from Kupyansk.
As a reminder, on December 12 it became known that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had cleared the northwestern part of Kupyansk. They also regained control over two settlements north of the city.
This allowed them to block from 100 to 200 soldiers of the russian army in the central part of Kupyansk. The Ukrainian military is conducting a clearing operation, but is doing it in stages to minimize losses.
On the same day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the Kupyansk area. He met with the military and recorded a video at the entrance to the city.
