NATO does not believe in russian concessions and predicts attempt to restore proxy control in Ukraine - CNN

Despite the attempts of negotiators to break the deadlock, NATO does not see signs of russia's readiness to make "significant concessions" on the issue of ending the war. A senior official of the Alliance stated this on December 2, emphasizing that although "a lot can change at the negotiating table," the current visit of the Americans to Moscow did not change the overall picture, CNN reports.

He emphasized that there are no signs of a change in russia's position or readiness to make "significant concessions." The official also warned that even after the conclusion of a peace agreement, Moscow will "try to restore its proxies and interfere in domestic political processes" in Ukraine.

According to NATO, russia has not abandoned its territorial claims and seeks to "maximum weaken Ukrainian military capabilities" in preparation for further aggression.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 2, Zelenskyy said that he was waiting for signals from the US delegation after the talks in russia, and that the next steps would depend on these signals.

Russian dictator vladimir putin's aide Yuri Ushakov said that after talks in Moscow with the US delegation, they had not found a compromise version of the peace plan to resolve the war in Ukraine.
