Territorial concessions, army restrictions and refusal from NATO. US peace plan for Ukraine leaked in media

The peace plan of the Donald Trump administration provides for territorial concessions of Ukraine, significant restrictions for the Ukrainian army and fixing in the Constitution the refusal to join NATO.

This became known from the article of the Axios publication, which received the draft document and confirmation of its content from Ukrainian and American officials.

According to Axios, Washington is putting pressure on Kyiv, seeking quick approval of the agreement and setting "aggressive deadlines" for its adoption.

The plan was prepared by Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff in cooperation with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Jared Kushner. During his work, Witkoff consulted with russian representative Kirill Dmitriev.

Dmitriev said that for the first time russia "feels real attention to its position" and expressed optimism about this process.

After consultations with the russian side, negotiations were held with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov. Separately, US Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll handed over the written text to Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The President emphasized that the document is a US vision, not a final agreement, and marked a number of "red lines" for Ukraine.

The plan includes significant changes in the status of Ukrainian territories: the US de facto recognizes Crimea and the entire territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk Regions as russian, and proposes to "freeze" the situation in the south along the contact line.
