Halushchenko shows his savings during his time as Energy Minister: over USD 300,000 and million- hryvnia salary

Herman Halushchenko showed his savings during his time at the Ministry of Energy. The sums reach USD 300,000.

This is evidenced by the data of his electronic declaration for the past year, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

When he worked as Minister of Energy, Halushchenko had USD 169,000 and UAH 600,000 in cash. And in bank accounts there were another UAH 5 million, USD 63,000 and EUR 5,000.

Last year, he earned UAH 1.6 million at the Ministry of Energy. Halushchenko indicated that he received almost UAH 400,000 more when he was dismissed from the post of Minister of Energy.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Halushchenko's daughter and son received foreign passports in Switzerland and the USA. On November 12, Herman Halushchenko was dismissed from his duties as Minister of Justice. As we will recall, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine previously confirmed that investigative actions were carried out within the framework of criminal proceedings with the participation of the head of the department, Herman Halushchenko, but refused to discuss the details. On November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) announced that they were conducting a large-scale operation to expose corruption in the energy sector.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko submitted a motion to the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss the Minister of Justice Herman Halushchenko and the Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrynchuk.
